The Pesto from Frantoio Magnone wins the "Serata del Pesto" 2011!

Within the framework of the Sagre savonesi (Savona Fairs), the 12th Serata del Pesto (Pesto Evening) took place at Finale Ligure last Summer. Under the supervision of the "Ordine dei Cavalieri della Confraternita del Pesto di Genova" (Pesto Order of Genova) producers and restaurateurs from the area compared their own products in a traditional examination. Our pesto had the honour to win this important and significant competition.

The Oil Mill Magnone on Pianeta Mare at the TV

On 29th.11.2009 the Oil mill Magnone was featured by the famous presenter Tessa Gelisio on Italian television in the program of Rete 4 "Pianeta Mare". After documenting the antique fishing techniques of Noli fishermen in Liguria, the quality of our oil as well as of our regional specialities were highlighted, plus the advantages of direct sales from producer to consumer.

Oil Mill Magnone on the Italian TV

On 27.01.2009 the Oil Mill Magnone was hosted by the famous RAI Tre program Geo & Geo on RAI Tre. Together with star compere Sveva Sagramola we could again show to millions of Italians the quality of our Ligurian olive oil production and of our regional specialities.

The Magnone Oil-Mill on Television

On 9th November 2002 the Italian Channel RAI 2 dedicated a transmission to olive oil, one of the great patrimonial riches of Italy. The famous presenter Tiberio Timberi focused on our oil mill and on our team, including Professor of History Silvio Torre and Domenica Bocella, an oil expert.

It was a great honour for us to present our modern hand harvesting methods, olives processing plant and tasting of the high quality oil we produce in our mill.

10 million telespectators who followed this program lent recognition to 500 years of family tradition and to the quality of our production to promoting the high reputation of Ligurian and Italian gastronomy.

Modern Processing

In the summer of 2001 we modernised the processing apparatus of our oil-mill in order to be able to work more efficiently and to increase our production capacity. This according to the most stringent alimentary hygiene norms and in order to guarantee the perfect conservation of the exceptionnal organoleptic characteristics of our products.

The processing of the last two years' olive harvests clearly demonstrated the efficiency of our new treatment unit, and therefore we are proud to offer our clients the best products of olive culture and of traditional Ligurian gastronomy.
